This Privacy Policy explains how Paylynk ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Account data. When you sign in with Discord we receive information Discord provides, such as Discord user ID, display name / username, avatar, and email (if permitted by Discord and your settings).

Profile and payout data. Information you add in Settings (display name, PayPal email, monetization preferences, API keys).

Link data. Titles, destination URLs, short codes, and stats (views, unlocks, estimated earnings).

Usage and technical data. IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, referrers, and similar logs used for security, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and debugging.

Cookies and local storage. Session cookies for login; may use browser storage for preferences.

Ad network data. Third-party ad partners may set cookies or collect data when ads load on unlock pages, under their own policies.

2. How we use information

• Operate accounts, unlock pages, dashboards, and the API
• Calculate earnings, reviews, and payouts
• Prevent abuse, bots, fraud, and rate-limit abuse
• Send in-app notifications (e.g. payout approval); email may be added later
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms and Content Policy
• Improve reliability and features of the Service

3. How we share information

We may share data with:

• Service providers — hosting (e.g. Vercel), databases (e.g. Neon), authentication (Discord)
• Ad networks — when visitors load unlock pages with ad tags
• Payment processors — as needed to send payouts (e.g. PayPal)
• Legal — if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety

We do not sell your personal information as a primary business model.

4. Public information

Unlock pages may show your display name, Discord avatar, link title, destination website name/favicon, view counts, and age of the link. Do not put private data in titles or public fields.

5. Retention

We retain account and link data while your account is active and as needed for payouts, security, and legal obligations. Logs may be retained for a limited period for abuse prevention.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, access controls, rate limits). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or higher age where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

8. International users

The Service may be hosted in the United States or other regions. By using Paylynk you understand your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws.

9. Your choices

• Update profile and PayPal email in Settings
• Delete links you created
• Disconnect Discord access via Discord settings
• Request account deletion by contacting us (we may retain records required for fraud or law)

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version with a revised "Last updated" date.
